THE 39-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN (4) by Marie Ferrarella: Having left the church to care for her ailing mother, ex-nun Claire Santaniello is trying to adjust to her new life when she runs into police officer Caleb McClain. As a teenager, Claire babysat Caleb, and he had a crush on her. Now a widower and a father, he still wants Claire, and she can't resist him, despite her misgivings about their age difference -- and doubts about her decision to leave her order. An unusual plot, coupled with a generous helping of humor to offset the more serious aspects of the story, give Ferrarella's romance a charm all its own.
