52 REASONS TO HATE MY FATHER
This unusual riches-to-rags tale is fun and interesting. Although the sappy ending is to be expected, the mysteries layered throughout, as well as the depth of the main characters, draw you in. Lexi is an obnoxious but lovable character you’ll root for!
Heiress Lexington Larrabee is desperate to turn 18 and inherit her trust fund so she can be free of her cold, controlling father and her faux family of paid parental figures. Then, drunken Lexi crashes her new car. Her dad decides an intervention is in order. Lexi is given two choices: forgo her trust fund and be cut off, or spend the next 52 weeks doing a series of minimum-wage jobs, after which she’ll receive her trust fund. Lexi is thrust into the care of her father’s intern, Luke, who is charged with ensuring she completes the jobs to her father’s satisfaction. What’s a spoiled princess to do?
