Book Review

ABBY ROAD
by Ophelia London

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

London’s story is good, but readers will be more interested in the supporting characters than in the main ones. The beautiful beaches of Florida and the dazzling world of a rock star do not offset a self-involved heroine who is too one-dimensional, a hero who is not strong enough to make up for it and a story that skips around a lot, leaving readers feeling cheated.

Rock star Abigail Kelly has it all — or at least that is how it seems on the surface. But inside she is struggling with the death of her brother and her loss of control to her manager. In an effort to step back and regroup, she agrees to stay with her sister in Florida where she meets hunky Todd Camford. Todd is charming and wonderful and, above all that, steady, which is something Abby desperately needs. Todd and Abby are well on their way to happily ever after when the reality of Abby’s life overwhelms them. She will need to stand up for herself before she is swept away for good.
