Book Review

ADRIENNE
by D. Renee Bagby

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Adrienne may be whisked away to another dimension, but she's a down-to-earth heroine that you'll have no trouble relating to. Although this is a fantasy, the well-defined multicultural characters tackle some real-life issues. There are scenes of violence and sex, but they're an integral part of the plot, and all ends well.

Adrienne Backett is finishing up at her college and looking forward to spring break. But when she leaves the building she's attacked by two men out for revenge because she turned them in for plagiarizing. A stranger comes to her rescue, but he turns out to be more frightening than her attackers.

Malik, the King of Ulan, has crossed dimensions to claim Adrienne as his long-lost queen. But being transported to his world and forced to marry him may
be the least of her problems. Just as Adrienne learns to accept Malik she's immersed in a power struggle between kingdoms.
