Taylor Hendricks has scrimped and saved to put herself and her baby brother through college. His decision to leave school his sophomore year and enter the NBA Draft doesn't make her happy. Nor does she appreciate her brother's hero, handsome pro-basketball player Donald Williams, backing the decision. She tries to tell Donald the importance her family places on education, but the only education Donald is interested in talking about is hers-in his bed!

Donald has never met a woman like Taylor-beautiful, exotic and thoroughly uninterested in him or his fame-and charts a ruthless campaign for her heart, despite the barrier of Taylor's broken past.

AFTER DARK is a literary eclair drenched with rich chocolate kisses and frosted with the sweetness of true love. (Oct. 320 pp., $4.99)
