Book Review

THE AFTER WIFE
by Gigi Levangie Grazer

Genre: Mainstream, Paranormal

RT Rating

Though the circumstances in this book are paranormal, Grazer writes them in a plausible way, making it easy to suspend disbelief. The humor of the main character and her supporting cast of friends is wry, dry and reminiscent of a really good situation comedy. This novel is a page-turner whose story will stick with readers long after it’s over.

Hannah Bernal lived a happy life with her family until the unexpected death of her husband, John. What’s even more confusing is the sudden presence of ghosts, including John’s. Hannah uses her newfound friends and her “grief team” to get on with her life as a widow. (BALLANTINE, Jul., 320 pp., $25.00)
