Actress Marcia Robertson is trying her best to get on with her life after her longtime lover, Gavin Williams forced her to choose between their life together and her career. Marcia believes that she has moved on with her life, until Gavin reappears and turns her world, which is quickly turning upside-down, right-side-up again.

Gavin realizes the mistakes of his youth. He is now ready to build a life with Marcia, only to discover that she has a new love. Gavin decides that a piece of Marcia is better than no Marcia at all and vows to becomes her friend, her shoulder to cry on.
