AIN'T NO RIVER
by Sharon Ewell Foster

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Garvin Daniels is a no-holds-barred DC lawyer, whose career is suddenly on hiatus due to circumstantial evidence. And thats a good thing, because it looks like her grandmother may need to be rescued from her personal traineror snake charmer, according to GarvinGoGo Walker.

When Garvin returns to her hometown to stay with her grandmother, she suddenly finds herself feeling like she is taking second place. GoGo seems to be seen around town a lot in his flashy car with older women and Garvin is certain she knows what hes up to. Of course, she doesnt. In fact, she has a lot of things wrong. But shell get em right, soon enough.

Repetitiveness and a somewhat slower pace make it difficult to get into the story, initially, but eventually these imperfections were hardly noticeable. There are portions that simply flow like a river, filled with insight. Ms. Foster certainly adds a great deal of authentic flavor to her work, as well. (Jan., 350 pp., $11.99)
