Cindy Reilly believes in fairy tales. After all, her name is almost Cinderella. Her Prince Charming is finishing law school and shes about to launch her own fashion line. Cindys fairy godmother is an eccentric opera singer who quietly supplies extra material for Cindys Glad Rags. But what Cindy doesnt know is that Miniver Macready is also a matchmaker. Minivers nephew, Franklin Cameron Fitz III, heir to a successful retail business, is afraid he cant live up to his late fathers expectations.

The humor in Barbara Hicks romantic comedy is a bit contrived, but its still a sweet story with a spiritual take readers will enjoy. (June, 256 pp., $6.95)
