Faye Harper had come to her Aunt's lake cabin to get away from her life. Trouble in her high school teaching job has left her reexamining her life. The only thing she knows is that she's not getting involved in someone else's troubles. Enter Aleksy Denko, who identifies himself as a Chicago police officer who needs to be on her property for surveillance. Alek is getting over the death of his former partner, a woman with whom he was involved. Virginia Kantra's ALL A MAN CAN ASK (2) is an enjoyable story hurt by the overly stubborn characters and too many avenues of conflict.
