Book Review

ALL SHE EVER WANTED
by Rosalind Noonan

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

The mystery adds fascinating intrigue to the plot, but Noonan’s latest is heavy and melancholy throughout. The account of a woman suffering from postpartum depression is incredibly realistic, yet this makes reading the story more of a chore than a delight.

Chelsea Maynard has everything she had hoped for in her life: a loving husband, a new baby daughter and the chance to stay home and spend time with their precious infant. Yet Chelsea suffers from depression that no one around her, including her doctor and her insurance carrier, want to acknowledge or help with. Her husband and sister try to come alongside, but there is only so much they can do. When something terrible happens, how can Chelsea keep it together and avoid blaming herself?
