This Quilts of Love novel is heartwarming, sweet and charming, and the characters, who are looking for answers to questions they’ve had for a long time, are well defined. Carter brings to life the beautiful sights and sounds of Hawaii with her well-researched story.

Laney Carrigan is looking for answers about her birth family. The only clue she has is a quilt she was found wrapped up in as a baby. When she meets Kai Barnes, she doesn’t quite get why he has anger toward her, but she knows he may have the answers she wants. Kai believes Laney is a gold digger and only wants the family fortune. They both need to trust each other and learn the truth that they are both seeking, or they could lose the one thing they both long for: family. (ABINGDON, Nov., 240 pp., $12.99)
