Known for her romantic suspense, up-and-comer Reus ably launches a paranormal romance series, Moon Shifter, featuring sexy shifters. Partly a murder mystery, this story also focuses on the uneasy relationship between humans and shifters. Reus shows great promise and you’ll look forward to visiting this world again soon!

Ana Cordona and her sisters are trying to pick up the pieces after all of the males, and a number of females, in their pack were murdered by silver poisoning. Trying to hold their pack together, Ana must also deal with the advances made by Taggert, the shifty leader of an adjacent pack. While confronting him, Ana is stunned when her first love, Connor Armstrong, and his warrior-class wolves arrive. Ana has mixed feelings about Connor’s return; the attraction is still there, but the hurt from his walking out remains. When another pack-mate is poisoned, Ana and Connor must join forces to find out who is targeting them and why. (SIGNET ECLIPSE, Feb., 368 pp., $7.99)
