Image of Always on My Mind (A Lucky Harbor Novel)

Shalvis’ latest offering in her Lucky Harbor series is wonderful. Full of the warm and crazy characters who make up her tiny town, Always on My Mind has a sexy and tangled story that will put readers on the edge of their seats. She also adds a setting that will have readers planning their next vacation.

Leah Sullivan is trying to put her life on track. After dropping out of cooking school and taking her big chance, she has come home to Lucky Harbor to lick her wounds and help her grandmother. That all changes when she utters one teensy little lie to help her best friend Jack Harper’s mother feel a little better. The lie? She and Jack are dating. Jack has no intention of kindling anything with Leah, even for his mother’s happiness — not when he is sure that she is just going to run again. But they might just find out that pretending to be in love could turn into the real thing. (GRAND CENTRAL, Oct., 352 pp., $8.00)
