Best friends Shari and Jon are so attracted to each other that their reasons for never getting together before seem flimsy. For example, Jon has always refused to be the rebound guy, so he had decided not to approach Shari after one of her many dating disasters. However, how he swoops in after she runs out of her wedding makes him the ultimate rebound. At least this would be the case if Jon were not so cute and sweet. He knows all of Shari’s likes and dislikes and works hard to keep her happy, both in bed and out. So while the story is short, it is a satisfying read about friends becoming lovers.

After ditching her philandering fiancée at the alter, Shari decides to go on her honeymoon trip to Aruba with her platonic best friend, Jon. During their tropical paradise vacation, Shari has some sexual fantasies about Jon, but she keeps them to herself because she is afraid of ruining their friendship. Jon, on the other hand, has no problem approaching Shari about his needs. He has wanted her for years, but the timing never seemed right. Finally, he has the chance to tell her how he feels and the two burn up the sheets with their mutual passion. But when they get back to the states will Shari want the permanent relationship that Jon is hoping for? (ELLORA'S CAVE, September 2011, dl., $4.45)
