Honor Donovan is in a bind. After learning that her missing brother's passport had gone through customs at Seatac Airport, Honor hires an experienced fisherman/ guide to guide her through Puget Sound as she searches for clues. Kyle disappeared from the former Soviet Union with a fortune in raw amber. There is also the small matter of a dead body to explain. Honor can't believe that Kyle is responsible, and her family claim that he was set up by J.J. Mallory of Emerging Resources.
Jake Mallory doesn't like being taken advantage of and to his chagrin, he both liked and trusted Kyle Donovan. Now with Kyle missing and the powerful Donovan clan blaming him, Jake is persona non-grata in Eastern Europe, where he and Jake worked. Using Honor may be the only way to trace Kyle and clear his own name. The U.S. and Russian governments, the Russian Mafia and Lithuanian separatists are all determined to get their hands on what may be a legendary treasure. For not only did Kyle disappear with raw amber, he may have also had a piece of the famous Czar's lost Amber Room, stolen by Nazis during WWII. Honor knows that she is being manipulated, but is forced to trust Jake.
A breathtaking romantic suspense tale that has become her trademark. This one sizzles to the bone!Paperback release (Sept., 387 pp., $6.99)
