ANYTHING BUT LOVE
Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Anything But Love is the third in the Cupcake Lovers series. You can begin the series wherever you like, but they are all wonderfully entertaining! The core group of ladies that form the Cupcake Lovers club all have a story to tell, and Anything But Love is one of the best so far. This book is a fast read, because the characters are so easy to become engrossed with and the story unfolds with ease. While this series is a go-to read for lighthearted fun, there is some complexity that brings layers to each character’s story. Readers can always count on Ciotta’s books to be sexy, fun, witty and clever.
Sugar Creek, Vermont, and the Cupcake Lovers are exactly what Reagan Deveraux needs. Having grown up with a mother whose priority is her full-time job of heiress, Reagan experiences the love of a close-knit community for the first time. She has a foolproof plan of hiding out until she can claim her inheritance — then she meets pub owner Luke Monroe. Luke’s luck with the ladies is mythical, but Rae completely turns his head and then has the nerve to disappear. When Luke moves heaven and earth to find her, he discovers her secret. Learning she has lied to him, and the entire town, is a lot to take in. Luke isn’t sure he can forgive her, but when she comes back to town to save the Cupcake Lovers, he takes one last chance. (ST.
