Anywhere She Runs is fast-paced, action-packed suspense, the way romantic suspense is supposed to be. Webb crafts a tight plot, a kick-butt heroine, a sexy hero with a past and a mystery as dark as the black water at night.

Detective Adeline Cooper gets a message from a killer linking three "pretty princesses" together in his killing spree. The first victim vanished from Adeline's hometown, and solving the case means the detective must return to a place full of hate and vengeance -- and her old love, the town sheriff.

Sheriff Wyatt Henderson doesn't want Adeline anywhere near him. Not because he doesn't still love her, he does despite their past, but because he'd rather die than be unable to protect her again. But there's no stopping Adeline, and there's no stopping the passion between them from being reignited. This time though, Wyatt plans to protect her from a killer.
