Book Review

by Allen Steele

Genre: Young Adult, Science Fiction

RT Rating

The latest from Steele is not easy to read. While the scientific aspects and political features are well done, the characters are clichéd and the plot unbelievable, as is the romance. Jamey goes from being obsessed with one girl to dating another, and neither girl notices nor minds!

On his 16th birthday, Jamey Barlowe’s life changes forever. He is sent to the moon, along with five others, to escape a fanatic who has taken over the United States. Once there, Jamey joins the Rangers, the group responsible for protecting the moon. Jamey will learn to walk, fall in love and fight to save everything he cares about.
