After discovering that her sister cannot have children, Australian stuntwoman Clove Penmire travels to Texas for the sole purpose of becoming pregnant by Archer Jefferson, her e-mail pal of two years. When Archer learns that Clove is carrying triplets, he swallows his initial shock, then enlists the help of his numerous brothers in convincing Clove not to return to Australia. With an overabundance of banter, Archer's Angels (2) reads more like a screenplay than a novel. Tina Leonard's attempts at humor often miss the mark, while a host of secondary characters and subplots clamor to take over the story.
