THE ARGENTINIAN’S SOLACE (3) by Susan Stephens: Diego Acosta is in hiding after a disastrous accident, but beyond his visible scars, he’s hiding a past filled with regret and revenge. Wedding planner Maxie Parrish goes to the small Acosta family island compound to plan her friend Holly’s wedding, and finds a rude, damaged soul in Diego that speaks to her need to rescue and heal — but Maxie is also harboring secrets, and that may cost her everything. Stephens’ narrative flow isn’t as smooth as it usually is, but the read is still enjoyable with a good lesson about the value of love over revenge, and a sweet, breathless romance.
