ASSASSIN’S HONOR
by Monica Burns

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance

RT Rating

Sizzling talent Burns kicks off the Order of the Sicari series, exploring a deadly and ancient feud between the Praetorian Guard and the legendary Sicari assassins. Besides the main protagonists, there are a number of intriguing secondary characters. A great start in a very promising series!

Archeologist Emma Zale never really believed in the ancient order of the Sicari, despite her parents’ insistence. But while on a dig, Emma discovers evidence that the Sicari are not a myth. Then Emma’s boss is murdered, just as her parents were years earlier.

Ares DeLuca is a Sicari, one of the telekinetic assassins bound to kill only in the name of justice. The Sicari war against the Praetorians’ genocide could hinge on finding the Tyet of Isis. Ares believes that Emma may know the artifact’s location, so he confronts her. When a hooded warrior tries to kill her, Emma has no choice but to place her trust in the sexy but aggravating Ares.
