THE ASSASSIN'S HEART
Kazimer’s debut romantic suspense deserves a spot at the top of the genre. Not only is this novel sassy and fun, but the author’s research into the CIA and the life of an assassin is reflected in her work, making it not just a fabulous romantic supsense tale, but a fantastic work of fiction, period. Hannah “Six” Winslow stands strongly on her own and has none of the characteristics of a damsel in distress — which makes this novel that much hotter and sensual.
Hannah “Six” Winslow is a professional assassin who works for the CIA. After a job goes horribly awry and she kills the wrong man, Six becomes the CIA’s next target, which forces her to assume a new identity and start a new life. While on business in Hawaii, Six’s former partner Ben Miller manages to track Six down so he can keep her in his sights until given further orders — which may include ending her life. Unfortunately, Ben is as irresistibly sexy as he is a fantastic partner and assassin. (CAMEL, Mar., 250 pp., $13.95)
