Marna goes through a metamorphosis, beginning the book as an angel who’s vulnerable and scared, tortured by memories of losing her wings, and finishing with strength, power and conviction. Together with Tanner she learns to feel, learns to love and comes to embrace his beast, claws and all. They have a steamy relationship and will quickly become a favorite in the Fallen series. Avenging Angel also brings back supernaturals from previous books, which is a nice treat, but one of the great things about these books is that they can be read as stand-alones, so no worries if you’ve missed a book — you can always go back for more!

Marna is an angel of death whose wings were savagely torn from her body, making heaven no longer within her reach. She desperately wants revenge on the deranged shifters who changed her life forever. When somebody frames Marna for murder, Tanner risks his job with the police department to find the real killer, only to discover that this is no ordinary case, and that a very powerful creature is framing them both.
