AWOL WITH THE OPERATIVE (3) by Jean Thomas: FBI agent Sam McDonough is escorting Eve Warren back to Chicago after her traveling companion is murdered by the mob. When their plane is shot down in the wilderness, Sam and Eve must fight the elements and their pursuers for survival. This fast-paced novel has strong characters and an interesting plot. However, Sam’s amnesia and subsequent personality change, resulting from the plane crash, is a bit too convenient to be believable.
