BABY ON BOARD (3) by Lisa Ruff When glass artist Kate gets pregnant, she knows that she doesn't want Patrick involved. He races boats for a living and is often gone for months at a time. During his last race, he was gone for three months and only found time to call her once, despite having plenty of time to party on board. She sets about interviewing other candidates to fill in as father, but Patrick isn't having any of that once he finds out about the baby. Can he convince Kate that he's father -- and husband -- material? Though Ruff seems knowledgeable about sailing and glassblowing, the characters are often frustratingly stubborn and not very sympathetic.
