This cute continuation of Baer's Whitney Chronicles revisits Whitney and her husband Chase. Unfortunately, the plot meanders and it takes more than half the book to get to the main point of having a baby, and some of the pregnancy-related details are not entirely accurate. But the spiritual lessons learned add depth to the
lighthearted plot.

Whitney and her friends Kim and Mitzi are all beginning to have "baby fever." Having children doesn't necessarily happen like each one had imagined, but they are fortunate to share their experiences together. Whitney and Chase travel the road of becoming parents with love and a great deal of prayer and laughter. (STEEPLE HILL CAFe, Sep., 384 pp., $6.99)
