THE BABY CONNECTION
THE BABY CONNECTION (4) by Dawn Atkins: Melodia Ramirez spends a weekend with journalist Noah Stone before he leaves to cover the war in Afghanistan, and becomes pregnant. Months later, Noah is injured in the war and returns to Arizona, where he finds Mel working at her mother’s daycare and mother to a young boy, Daniel, who she tells him is his son. Still attracted to Mel, Noah must overcome his injuries as well as post-traumatic stress disorder — and then convince Mel that the two of them belong together. This well-written story does a nice job of depicting the gravity of PTSD, while at the same time allowing the romance of Mel and Noah to blossom.
