A BABY FOR MOMMY (4) by Cathy Gillen Thacker: Dan hopes chef Emily can bring some peace to his family -- or at least his kitchen -- with her cooking. Since the divorce, his three children and his wife's uncle have not had a pleasant meal. Single and pregnant, Emily wants to leave Fort Worth, but she stays to help Dan through the holidays and to add to her bank account. But things don't go as planned, and Emily is forced to hang around Fort Worth for a while longer, which falls in with Dan's plan to keep her on the job. Dan is charming, if clueless when it comes to Emily's independent nature, and his children are fractious and funny. Thacker's sweet and charming tale explores what it means to be a family.
