When Casey Kent and her husband, Nathan, move home to California from the East Coast, Casey is at loose ends. She left her job as an attorney and doesn't have another one. So when her father asks her to stop a company from raising turkeys next to his farm, she decides to help, even if he did make her move in with an aunt when she didn't want to. But traveling back and forth between her San Francisco apartment and her father's ranch takes a toll on her marriage, as does the lawyer in her husband's office who seems determined to steal him away. A Baby on the Way (3), by Debra Salonen, is a pleasant story about fixing what's wrong in a relationship. Salonen uses three different kinds of relationships to show just what can happen when we don't communicate.
