RT Rating

Kauffman revisits the cupcake gang in this third book of the series. Although fine as a stand-alone read, you will want to read the other books to enjoy the lovable characters. This is an emotional tale of two people who have suffered losses and are estranged from their families, but who come together around an adorable little girl who has just lost her parents. And, if that’s not enough “aww factor,” there is group bonding over sea turtle hatchlings.

Still reeling from the loss of her family business, Kit decides to take a job at a cupcake bakery on Sugarberry Island. She is soon drawn into the warm circle of the Cupcake Club. Kit also runs into attorney Morgan Westlake — of the Atlanta Westlakes Law Firm family, the legal adversaries who crushed her. But, maybe Morgan isn’t like the rest of his family? He has recently moved to Sugarberry so that his orphaned niece can grow up near the grandmother she has never met. (BRAVA, Nov., 352 pp., $14.00)
