Car manufacturer David Falcon needs
a P.A. and a housekeeper, and single mom Valerie Sinclair fits the bill. Trouble is, David finds Valerie too attractive to keep his customary distance, and Valerie's life is a little complicated. Once she breaks her cardinal rule and sleeps with David, there's no going back -- but finding a way to be together is tough. Susan Crosby begins Wives for Hire with The Bachelor's Stand-In Wife (3). It has a sound plot and conflict, and the main characters ring true. But Valerie's former in-laws are stereotypical villains, which hurts the story.
