Lottery winner David Dodd is just getting settled into his new house and neighborhood when he takes note of his workaholic neighbor, Kate Finn. A cellist, Kate seems always to be on the go.

While sitting out front one morning, Dave witnesses a large object fall from the sky and crash through Kate's roof. Luckily, Kate was already out of bed, but she now has a rather large hole to deal with. Seizing the opportunity to get to know his cute neighbor, Dave makes himself indispensable—which turns out to be a good thing, as more weird people and events start to inhabit Kate's formerly predictable life.

Updated and revised from an earlier Loveswept edition, Back to the Bedroom has vintage Evanovich humor and wackiness. Definitely good for a chuckle. (Aug., 272 pp., $7.50)
