Billerbeck's second Trophy Wives Club novel alternates between the points of view of young widow Lindsay and her late husband's ex-wife, Jane. The enjoyable tale provides subtle spiritual insights and just the right amount of friendship and romance.

A year after her husband's death, 35-year-old Lindsay is living in a senior condo complex, not sure what to do with her life. When her late husband's ex-wife, Jane, the executor of his estate, shows up to finalize things, Lindsay is thrown into a tailspin -- especially when Jane's attractive grown son (whom she insists isn't her ex-husband's) shows up. Lindsay and Jane don't get along, but they each have something to teach the other. (AVON INSPIRE, Sep., 272 pp., $12.95)
