BACK FROM THE UNDEAD
by DD Barant

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Jace Valchek is gaining quite the rep in several universes as Barant provides readers with the next kick-ass installment of The Bloodhound Files. Her in-your-face sass keeps her opponents off guard and her fans grinning. Barant continues to shine with a series that deftly combines wacky humor and grave danger. Great stuff!

Just when Jace and her vampire boss Cassius give in to the attraction between them, they are separated by work. Cassius is off on a secret mission and Jace, her lem partner Charlie and Damon Eisfanger head to the crime-ridden city of Vancouver to meet with Aristotle Stoker. Since Jace needs to capture Stoker in order to fulfill her contract and get back to her own universe, she is suspicious. Of course nothing is simple and it appears the yakuza are involved. Well, Jace isn’t going to let a little thing like angry gods and getting kicked out of heaven stop her! (ST. MARTIN’S, Apr., 336 pp., $7.99)
