More characters add a fun, eclectic mix to Painter’s House of Comarre series. Chrysabelle becomes ever more unique as her comarré life dwindles, allowing her to break free from past restraints. Romance might be on the horizon for her, but danger always lurks right behind each choice. It’s exciting and interesting!

Chrysabelle’s status as comarré might be jeopardized by the need to find her brother. She and Mal visit New Orleans, but they cannot recover the Ring of Sorrows without first doing some fae business. Back at home, Doc has Fi back, but he is having his own problems related to a witch’s magic. Not only that, but he’s discovered a half-vampire baby, which shouldn’t even exist.
