The third installment of the Potluck Catering Club series is lighthearted and enjoyable, with a hint of mystery. The sheer number of characters is often difficult to keep straight, especially if you have not read all of the previous books in the series. At times, the actions of the characters seem a bit slapstick and unrealistic, but the delicious recipes and swiftly moving plot will keep the reader engaged.

After winning a reality cooking show, the ladies of the Potluck Catering Club head home to Colorado to resume their regular lives. Yet things are anything but regular, as one member loses a husband and a murder stuns everyone — especially when one of their own members is accused of the crime. Can they work together to figure out what is going on around town? (REVELL, Jan., 352 pp., $14.99)
