Baron Montravel wakes up in the hospital after an apparent assassination attempt, with no recollection of the past year. His bodyguard, Jacinta Newnham, is there to help him regain his memory and to track the person responsible for the bombing. THE BARON AND THE BODYGUARD (2) has a weak premise, from a woman being a royal's bodyguard, the reason for the attack, to the hero's long-standing amnesia. Valerie Parv does develop a nice romance, and if you can wade among the problematic areas, you will find a happily-ever-after.
