While trying to avoid a child custody battle with his mother-in-law, a widowed doctor finds what appears to be the solution to his problems in BE MY BRIDE? (4). Having been disillusioned in marriage and misled by love, he has no desire to give his heart to anyone but his young daughter, when a former high school friend re-enters his life and gives him an opportunity for a stable family environment. Although she agrees to the proposal, the lovely landscape artist is still dealing with his once painful rejection while trying to keep from falling in love all over again. Karen Rose Smith has written a tender and thoughtful story of two people wrestling with growing desires and past hurts while trying to build a loving home for an adorable little girl.
