This story is filled with plenty of hot sex and sizzling tension between boss Bennett and employee Chloe, but the book alternates between their points of view (with different fonts for each character!), which proves distracting rather than providing depth. Additionally, the level at which this couple loathes each other for the majority of the story makes the hasty resolution hard to believe.
Chloe Mills is a hard-working MBA student completing her final project at one of Chicago’s most prestigious media companies. Her boss? One of the city’s most egotistical businessmen — Bennett Ryan. When the tension between them becomes too much, they discover what makes their professional relationship work: plenty of hot and heavy personal time. But when Chloe realizes that the intimate trysts are something more, will she be able to warm Bennett’s cold heart? (GALLERY, Feb., 320 pp., $15.00)
