Beauty is Oak’s third novel in the Faery Story series, and the author manages her large cast of characters and a complicated multi-universe world in a way that even readers new to the series will be able to enjoy. It’s a long read, but the intense romance and buildup to the novel’s final climactic battle are worth it. If anything, readers may be wishing there was even more, continuing the tale of the princess brought back to life and her two half-vampire lovers.

Thirteen years ago, Bronwyn Finn died, but in her mind, she still heard her Dark Ones, the symbiotic twins she didn’t know were real. Now, Shim and Lach have come to find their bondmate: the woman who’ll unite the two halves of their soul. They want to return her to their world to keep her safe, but Bronwyn has other plans, like helping her brothers — another set of symbiotic twins — and their bondmate replace their despotic uncle on her kingdom’s throne.
