Donna Clayton's Because of Baby (3) takes pixie Fern on a magical journey from the Irish fairy world to New York. Fern loves children, particularly writer Paul's 2-year-old charmer, Katy. When Fern's feelings for isolated Paul and adorable Katy turn her temporarily human, she has to decide whether to stay in her new form and become part of their family, or return to the fairy world she's always known. Although the language of this fantasy is at times awkward, Fern's adjustments to human form are funny and touching.
