Two things are guaranteed in an Alers romance: intelligent, funny dialogue and mouth-watering descriptions of meals. The story is beautifully crafted with interesting legal cases and a sizzling romance. The surprise twist at the end leads nicely to a happily ever after. As a bonus there are more Wainwrights, and Aziza’s brother, Alexander, who have potential for their own romances.

Beloved characters from the Best Men and Signature Brides series return to re-introduce Jordan Wainwright, the law partner who has made his mark in Harlem as an advocate for the disenfranchised, happily turning his back on his family’s real estate empire and his tyrannical grandfather. Into his world comes fellow litigator Aziza Fleming. They connect when Jordan agrees to help her with a sexual harassment suit she’s filing. Aziza’s trust in men has taken a beating with the failure of her marriage and the lawsuit she is filing against her former employer, but Jordan may help her to trust again.
