Lancelot Jones Beckett takes on the task of settling an old family debt, dating back three generations. It seems that a Beckett ancestor cheated a Chandler out of their portion of their partnership. When Beckett shows up on Eliza Chandler Edwards's doorstep, Eliza is sure he's nothing but another scam artist, just like her dead husband. BECKETT'S CINDERELLA (2) has actually very little romance. They spit and spat, argue and bicker; it takes a hurricane for these characters to find love. Dixie Browning started off with a terrific premise but disappoints by letting her villains off the hook in the end.
