BED OF LIES
BED OF LIES (3) by Paula Roe: Beth Jones is running from her painful past — and from the bank demanding she make good on the money her employee embezzled. Now she’s dragged into banker Luke DeRossi’s family issues, which are guaranteed to out her carefully hidden memories. Luke’s been struggling himself, trying to put aside his own painful past and escape the onus of having an accused criminal, his mobster uncle, in his family before he loses the professional life he’s carefully crafted. Though Beth is a charming and captivating heroine, Luke’s ultimate growth as a character is going to be hard for readers to accept or warm up to.
