Book Review

BEGUILED

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Child has created a wonderfully magical world of fae and otherworldly creatures. The interaction between plucky Maggie and intense Culhane adds magic of its own. Interwoven internal and external conflict throughout the story makes it an entertaining page-turner, but the secondary characters add such tremendous color to the story that one could say they almost steal the show.

Evil fae Queen Mab was defeated, but she's been let loose from her prison and is back to conquer Queen Maggie: unwitting usurper, part-human, part-fae.

Maggie is getting used to her role as queen in the Otherworld, which includes loving Culhane, a warrior and adviser to the queen.

But her trust in him dwindles when she suspects he's after her power rather than her love. When Maggie's niece is kidnapped
by Mab, the two must come together
to rescue the girl and defeat Mab for good.
