BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

Victor Lazar is not a well-liked man. Lorraine "Raine" Cameron believes he killed her father, so she takes a job as a
secretary in his import/export business, using a fake name. She is searching for the truth and ultimately, revenge.

Surveillance expert Seth Mackey believes Victor was involved in the murder of his half-brother, and he too wants revenge. To help keep track of Victor, Seth bugs the house where Victor's former mistress lived, and spies on Raine, who now lives there.

He can't keep his eyes off her and becomes sexually obsessed, assuming she is Victor's new plaything. When their paths do cross, they physically surrender to each other, unable to control themselves.

Seth is relieved that Raine is not Victor's mistress, and their hot affair endures. They eventually confide some of their secrets, but don't necessarily trust one another as their plans for revenge take unexpected and dangerous twists and turns.

Shannon McKenna's first full-length novel is suspenseful, fast-paced and rife with lengthy, explicit and erotic sex scenes. However, it's sometimes difficult to keep track of the many characters, their histories, and their ties to Victor. (Sep., 384 pp., $14.00)
