Picking up where If I Were You ends, in Being Me Rebecca is still missing and Sara is obsessed with her journal. She’s convinced Rebecca’s mystery man is the key to her disappearance, but she has to figure out who he is first. While the plot involves the world of BDSM, Sara seems to not have the ideal personality for the scene. The story is a bit hard to follow if you have not read the first installment. It is, however, worth the effort.

While he appears to have secrets that he’s not sharing, Chris is making all the right moves to bring Sara closer to him and his world. His desire to keep her safe from whatever might have happened to Rebecca is admirable, but Sara continues to try to find her and this brings danger closer still. At the same time, another one of her friends, Ella, goes missing. Is there any connection? And how could there be? Meanwhile, gallery owner Mark is making moves that give Sara pause as well. As Sara tries to settle into her relationship with Chris, his rivalry with Mark puts her right in the middle of their conflict. (GALLERY, Jun., 355 pp., $15.00)
