Fields’ writing is muy caliente — each page generates enough heat to melt candles. Lush details, an invigorating mystery and richly etched characters make this a keeper. It simply glows with the delicious intrigue Fields unravels. Readers will fall in love.

Brooke Richards survived an earthquake that killed her parents and destroyed part of her leg. A getaway to Florida to be fitted with a state-of-the-art prosthesis, and visit with her best friend Linda, is just what she needs to heal. Unfortunately, the excursion turns lethal when Brooke witnesses Linda’s boat exploding in a cloud of flames. Police officer Garrett Ciavello thinks the explosion was deliberately set to cover something Linda stumbled across. When Brooke offers her expertise in underwater archeology to aid in Garrett’s investigation, the two join forces. Garrett and Brooke’s chemistry is fiery, the emotions are tender and their hearts soon intertwine. Since Garrett lost his fiancée, he has become fiercely overprotective, and he is willing to risk his life to keep Brooke safe. Will love heal their wounds as they search for a killer?
