In this second installment of the Orchid Soul series, the fantasy fulfillment website is still malfunctioning, but we get a wonderful new matched/mismatched couple in Nick and Toni. The way Nick treats Toni's daughter will melt your heart. The beauty of this story is that Nick and Toni's love is worth the wait. The sex ain't bad either!

Toni Lyons is the hard- working, single mom of an autistic 5-year-old daughter. To make extra money, she agrees to be a tester for her friend's matchmaking website, Orchid Soul.

Her neighbor and landlord, Nick, is helping with the website as well. He used to be a love-'em-and-leave-'em guy, but he put that behind him when he went into the service. Because of his attraction to Toni, he takes a side trip into her computer to manipulate her fantasy and bring them together. Toni's been hurt badly and doesn't trust easily, but Nick is a patient man. (St. Martin's Griffin, Jan., 230 pp., $13.95)
